Hosting Hire Aspirations 2025 — MCEEA's signature conference

Emerge Presents is our live-event arm — and in 2025 that meant taking the lead on the signature gathering for the people who connect students to careers across Michigan. Emerge chaired and hosted the Annual Conference of the Michigan Career Educator & Employer Alliance (MCEEA).
The event
The MCEEA Annual Conference is the organization’s signature event. Emerge led it end to end — chairing the program and hosting three days in Muskegon under the 2025 theme, “Hire Aspirations.”
Who was in the room
The conference convened the people who shape the path from campus to career:
- Career services from colleges and universities across the state
- Employers — recruiters, university relations, and HR teams
- Workforce agencies and non-profits working on talent across Michigan
Why it mattered
Michigan is home to nearly 500,000 college students. Over three days and 50+ speakers, the conference focused on one shared goal: connecting those students to internships, cooperative education, and full-time employment. With 172 attendees, it drew the second-largest crowd in the conference’s history.
The result was a near-record gathering of the entire talent ecosystem — and a statewide community more equipped, and more connected, to launch the next generation into work. The numbers below tell the story.
